5 States- Memoirs
"Homesickness is not a thing until you have left the place you call home."
Come and delve with me
as I jump into the experiences
of my four friends
and one including my own,
who are from different states;
as they share their thoughts
on what it feels
to be away from home
and what do they miss
1)What is your name and it's meaning in your language?
- Mansi- means finding peace in her own guidance.
As a confidante of Mansi, I can confirm that she is truly like a peaceful boat in control of her own rudder and the direction of her sails!

3)Tell me about the landscape of your place where you live(The weather, geography of the place etc)
- Its like cold overall twelve months hardly sunny.
What's hard to believe is how our dear Mansi here feels cold even though her place is accustomed to the chilly frosts of winter lol!
4)There is a general vibe decided by the people living in that place. How are the people in your hometown?( You may compare it with the current place you are living in eg:Punjab)

6) How does your lifestyle look like in your hometown and what has changed after coming here? (Compare with providing examples like the food you eat or the pace of life here etc)
- Here people lives in their own imaginary world away from this city life. The food we eat has its natural taste means like when we eat one can easily guess the materials used in that dish. We used to eat very simple and traditional type of food like Lasank nun ( mashed pudina, garlic and salt) with chapati.
Looks like the food there is wholesome and life is simple!

Describe in detail how you celebrate it at home as well as in your locality (Perhaps something that your mother used to make or do which reminds you of home or the overall rituals that only people in your hometown do which makes it so memorable and festive)

Secondly the way of eating food we just sit on the chakh ,its like small wooden sitting material .
Mansi described to me how all the houses in her place are at an altitude and the moment the car starts climbing through the pass, there is a shift in air; more fresh and invading your nostrils with the cold wintery caress like a mint candy popped into your mouth!
